Fault Location Method for the Double-circuit Transmission Line Based on Electromagnetic Time Reversal

Abstract The current fault location ways for the double-circuit transmission lines on same tower do not consider coupling relationship of lines. accuracy is low in practical application. Therefore, a method basing electromagnetic time reversal proposed this paper. six-sequence component used to transform line’s impedance matrix eliminate between line pole. positive and negative phase characteristics are analyzed by using section identification function decide lines’ section. mirror constructed applying measure distance point. experimental results indicate that maximum error only 0. 01 km tower, which has high measurement good practicability.
